Independence through reading systems
Being able to read letters, medication leaflets, or other printed documents without external help is a cornerstone of an independent and self-sufficient life. Reading systems provide comfortable technical support in this regard. These are distinguished between handheld magnifiers with speech output for use on the go, stationary systems that operate independently of computers, and computer-based systems. The latter include scanner systems combined with screen readers such as JAWS, as well as our NewsReader software, which is specially designed for reading newspapers aloud.
Above all, the enjoyment of reading or having your daily newspaper or popular magazines, such as Kicker, read aloud independently and with minimal effort is an important quality of life that you don’t have to do without. In cooperation with many publishing houses, we can offer you over 300 different media titles compatible with the NewsReader software and our UniversalReader Compact II. The complete list of current titles can be found here.
